Day Zero - Heathrow

Okay, for those of you who requested another travel blog (looking at you, Judy and Marianne), here it is.  The posts are stamped with local Bangkok times, which is ok except for this first one, which actually takes place in the evening of 17 January.

After two decades of fulsomely cursing the planes flying low at twilight over our Ealing home, it's come to this - we've gone and joined the blasted crew!

Our flight to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok is scheduled to leave at 9:30pm so with any luck we'll be roaring over our neighbours' rooftops about fifteen minutes later. Bet I don't get a wink's sleep from guilt.
